Spontaneous Scarf

Happy FULL MOON BLIZZARD. We just got a walk in before the snow but the wind had kicked up! I made a pot of un-hulled barley before we left. It was delicious with Cajun spice on top!

I just gave my extra yellow scarf away to the boy standing in the cold dressed as the statue of liberty, his job for 4 hours each day, dancing, holding a sign, waving to traffic, in front of Liberty Taxes. I was wearing two scarves. It felt good to be spontaneous and he loved it. They are just 6 inch by 60 inch pieces of yellow fleece I bought 20 years ago at the bargain fabric store. I call it the 'don't kill me scarf' because it is yellow and shows up at night.

I am sorry to hear that your son is having a heroin problem. Glad that he is getting help. I have attended a few local Woonsocket Prevention Coalition Meetings. It's a national epidemic and much more complicated than we knew. But there is a lot of good HELP and support and knowledge out there concerning drug addiction and mental illness and transgender issues. As far as your son, just love him any way he presents himself. In the end all we have is LOVE. I truly believe that now in my 55th year. A friend of mine who was born male has become a beautiful woman. Fascinating. She feels it is healing to be aligned wit her soul for the first time in her life. It makes total sense to me. If you think it would help I can put them in touch. Love you guys, Be safe traveling in the storm, all of the storms.
