Yesterday

Yesterday I stopped by Sylvia's and we went for a walk through the park with our dogs. How about you come over and I'll feed you? Even though it was sprinkling a bit we hung out in the small yard and told stories. Meanwhile the drug dramas were unfolding in plain view. I made seltzer and orange juice with lots of ice and we nibbled on fist fulls of granola and ate bananas. Everything went on the little table i salvaged on Saturday.
This is delicious she said, just how I like to eat.
Grazing is fun.
She said her pants were loose. Are you loosing weight? "Yes, and I'd rather be fat and happy" she said. She was was anxious and skinny, worried over her housing and medical proxy and advocate stuff. She looked good with her natural silver hair cut and pink sweatshirt.
I made granola to send her home with and she was thrilled.
we were telling jokes, laughing our heads off. "You sound so Jewish, she even used a Jewish accent. you should do stand up comedy, I said. Or sit down comedy.
I would love that! You're a natural I said. It's how I deal with anxiety.
"How about in the park!"
It was time to end the visit and I offered to drive her home.
This is why we need to stay connected I said. it's good for both of us.
