Bread & Puppet Theater
The Bread and Puppet Theater was founded in 1963 by Peter Schumann on New York City’s Lower East Side. Besides rod-puppet and hand puppet shows for children, the concerns of the first productions were rents, rats, police, and other problems of the neighborhood. More complex theater pieces followed, in which sculpture, music, dance and language were equal partners. The puppets have grown bigger and bigger and today, Bread and Puppet continues to be one of the oldest, nonprofit, self-supporting theatrical companies in the country.

The Extraordinary Rendition Band
ERB is a street band of brass, reeds and percussion from Providence, Rhode Island. As a "honk band", they play free, gueriilla style and in the streets whenever possible to try and uplift everyone within earshot. They believe that the power of music may be more effective and powerful than weapons, arguments or war.
