When Agony Strikes

I was racing around the kitchen drinking coffee making supper last night. I was baking peppers onions mushrooms and marinated chicken in lemon juice garlic olive oil and cheap white wine in my 12" cast iron skillet. I decided to use the stove top burner to de-glaze the pan. I placed the red potholder on the handle to remind me it was hot but it was underneath the handle and I accidentally grabbed the hot iron handle. Immediately I felt a searing pain on the tips of three of my fingers. Three blisters were forming. I grabbed ice and sat on the couch and howled. It was very painful. I found the medicine from 2 years ago when I had stitches on my tongue and took one. I fell asleep. When I woke up at 11PM the pain was gone. This morning I am fine. Amen.
