I have three burlap rice bags in my fridge holding vegetables. Today I rinsed and chopped 3 pounds of kale, 2.5 pounds of carrots, 2 big bell peppers, a pound of mushrooms, a bunch of white onions (not in fridge). I sauteed them in batches with olive oil and adobo and red wine. At the last minute I combined all of it! Now we are loaded with a bucket of veggie options. Soup? Rice topping? Omelet filling? Sandwich ingredients? Who knows! All of it. At any rate the neighborhood smells good and tonight when I am crabby and tired i will have good food awaiting me.
By the way The burlap bags allow veggies to breathe in the fridge versus spoil from condensation build up but it's easy to forget as I did, what you have.
