Ever since a semi driving down George street took a sharp corner many years ago, the All Saints Church stone wall had it's cornerstone dislodged. Months went by and it was put back upside down. Then it disappeared. Walking by daily I grieved the missing tooth. A 1,000 pound piece of granite gone. It must've been stolen I mused. It bugged me.
Today I walked by and it was back. It made my day. I even told the mailman because he was right there. "This may sound silly but that corner stone was missing for so long I had given up hope. And today I see it's back." He smiled. He understood.
