Shrine to Temptation

There's a shrine in front of the high-rise for the lady who got hit by a car last year when crossing the street. I pass it every day. There are candles, cans of Pepsi, plastic flowers, cards, ribbons, teddy bears, and a framed plexiglass photo of her. Candy bars and occasionally a burger and fries show up. One day Romeo gulped a stale hamburger. Ever since then I have to restrain my dog as we walk by. Yesterday I spotted a huge unopened Snickers bar. I was so tempted to nab it. On behalf of the dangers to my dog if he grabbed it. What a liar, I wanted it. I wanted that candy bar. But I hate sweets! But what good is a candy bar to a dead person? Desecration of a shrine. Some kid will nab it. That doesn't make it okay for you to nab it. . .

I can't wait to see if it's still there today.
update: 1/23/20 Today I walked by an there were two snickers candy bars! They're multiplying!!
2/11/20 The snickers bars are getting replaced as the kids nab them on their way home from school. They are now hidden but I see them each day buried under the candles.
