Bird Moments

On the way walking to the library I was eating an apple. I threw my apple core into the bushes, and as soon as it landed in the grass a sparrow swooped down and flew off with it.

I was walking home from school when a robin hopped onto the sidewalk directly in front of me. The traffic was zooming by, but she didn't seem afraid. I stood still to watch her hop, gathering up very thin twigs and dry grasses that had blown onto the sidewalk. She methodically loaded up her beak and then flew up to the nearby tree, dropping a couple of the twigs.
