I am enjoying this book.

by Arthur Rosenfeld
The host of PBS’s Longevity Tai Chi and leading Western Tai Chi master Arthur Rosenfeld offers a groundbreaking guide to the myriad mental and physical benefits of this ancient martial art, including easing chronic pain and illness, dealing with stress, and resolving conflicts more easily. Are you looking to develop your mind as well as your body? look no further than tai chi.

I'm an American-born Taoist monk ordained in China. A one-time New Yorker, frequent Californian, and mostly Floridian, I am in love with Hawaii and addicted to traveling around Asia. I live a Taoist life, which means I treasure harmony and balance, worship nature, and engage internal martial arts as a form of devotion.

My work focuses on exploring Chinese philosophy and history through the lens of fiction. I love a great story, and my novels typically juxtapose ancient and modern settings. I'm keenly interested to see where human consciousness is going, and sometimes think that Tao and Evolution are synonymous terms.

I used to publish under the name Arthur Rosenfeld, but now prefer my Taoist name, Yunrou, which means Soft Cloud. My newest work, Yin, was just published under my new name. Writing Yin has been a process, a journey that has taken more than 20 years. The love story focuses on merging Ancient Chinese ideas with the modern world, along with adventure, and the love of two beings. Yin is an engaging novel for readers of all ages.

When I'm not writing, I'm caring for turtles (the most endangered vertebrates on Earth) or teaching and practicing tai chi. I can frequently be found swinging around a 30-lb halberd (Guan Gung Dao in Chinese) with earbuds in my ears and a song in my heart.
