Yesterday the pool had a family with two kids ages 10 and 12. There were other people too, and everyone was swimming every which way. I continued to swim my laps in a straight line. One girl swam under the hollow plastic yellow stairs. I told her that was dangerous because nobody would see her if she got caught. These kids wanted to swim laps. I stopped and gave an impromptu breathing crawl and backstroke lessons to the girl and her brother. I loaned them my flippers and floaty belt. They had a blast and did really well.
