Dinner with People

I might have to try baking blueberry muffins. I love to bake with buttermilk and blends of wholegrain flours, molasses instead of sugar, and oil in place of butter. I usually bake a carrot sunflower quick bread whenever someone is visiting. The scent wakes them up! I get sooo excited when I have a guest that I often wake crazy early to bake and cook. But then, later in the day I melt, going to bed before sunset.

Last night Bill and I had dinner with all of the Woonsocket Librarians. This is becoming a bigger dinner each month. I am begging them to let me host in my dining room or picnic table. Why are people so afraid of this? I won't give up. Feeding and telling stories are the basics of humanity and culture. Break bread together share a meal and coffee or tea. In the poorest parts of India and Brazil and all over the world people understand this. Why not here?
