Snowy Saturday

I walked to the pool in the snowstorm. No one was in the pool but there were two guys in the gym lifting weights. I swam laps and forgot all about the snow. I walked home and shoveled the stairs at the back door and a big loop path in the yard for Lily-dog. I hung up my wet bathing suit in the boiler room and went into the kitchen and made soup. The neighborhood is so quiet that it feels like the middle of the night.
