How to Make the Best Coffee or I Love a Good Schmooz

I showered and started trimming my hair again. I knew I should hide the scissors. I prepared my husbands breakfast and lunch and then threw the clothes in the washing machine. (I took my puffer) and put on my dayglow sweatshirt I rescued from a dumpster and my glow vest, and went for a run with my dog Lily. The air was delicious 30 degrees.

On Main Street at market Square I saw a truck unloading the flash freezer and the souped up convection oven to NEIGHBORWORKS. I stopped and spoke to the guys. The restaurant industrial kitchen appliance company is now based in Attleboro, they were here on 146.

Then I followed the sunlit buildings along the bi-pass watching the sunrise. On my way home I saw the public works guys and then I spoke to Breezy and Albert at the picnic table at Kennedy Manor highrise. Breezy loves to bake and cook and sew and she loves hats. She also loves old stuff. We had a lot to talk about. She was a military nurse raised in the south but she moved up here when her husband died. She decorated her house in antiques but her husband would say "Don't touch the den, the den has to be in this century". She told me about wine salt and bread for housewarming gifts. "Look it up. It was the way they did it in the olden days," she said.
"I will, and we'll continue this discussion tomorrow, but I have to get warm now," I said waving and starting to jog and when I got home a few minutes later. My hot black coffee tasted great.

My dog and I are allergic to smoke but we meet all of the smokers because they are the only ones outside at the picnic tables. I love a good schmooze.

Life is funny.
