The White Van

When I turned the corner on my walk I noticed a white van.

It all came back to me.

"Did you see a white van?" The detective asked.
"No, the guy had a white sheet on but it was not covering his head, just up to his neck. His head was bandaged, wrapped in white gauze. He was lying down on a stretcher and the fire department ambulance took him away."
"Then he's alive. The white van is the state medical examiner. They show up when a dead body has been found."
