A Happy Camp Ground

We have had to take wimpy walks as Lily 's ankle swelling is going down. She feels great and is puzzled by the restraint. We keep her on a leash even in the yard. I am honoring the instructions from my beloved vet Dr. Belinsky. I submit and trust his word.

The neighbors practically tackled us last night, "Where have you been?" We explained the fact that Lily reinjured her ankle a few weeks ago and we need to have wimp walks until the swelling is completely gone and then we need to wait one more week after that. Robin came out holding her Chihuahua while handing me a bag of garden tomatoes and a gigantic cucumber. "I need knew knees!" she said. Lisa had stories to tell about her new neighbors. "There they are, she said pointing to a couple with two small dogs. "They just moved in yesterday and their dogs barked for two hours straight and the woman was screaming bloody murder."
"Time will tell," I said.

Meanwhile our communal parking lot has blossomed into a happy kid fest and every morning I look forward to hearing the kids playing. Lately the neighborhood is a happy camp ground.
