My husband and I talk a lot about community vs individual sociology versus psychology. I am beginning to see the importance of understanding tribal behavior --the pros and cons. As an individual I like to knit a community together on my walks. I stop and chat for a moment and get a sense of how things are and I occasionally pick up trash.
Picking up trash always starts a conversation.
