A young mother planning to kill herself after splitting up from her husband was raped on the way to the bridge she was going to jump from.

The unnamed woman, 25, left her home at midnight after leaving her two-year-old child with her mother.

She was raped as she walked to the bridge in Omsk, Russia.

This is the bridge that the 25-year-old mother planned to jump from after her break-up

After the assault the woman went to the bridge and sat on edge, but was talked down by a passing taxi driver.

'I don't even remember what words I found to rescue her,' said the driver, named Yevgeny.
