Early Morning Rifle

I woke up at 4:30 and fed Romeo and Sammy, made coffee and started trimming my hair. I heard what sounded like firecrackers. When I stepped outside to walk Romeo I could see police detective vehicles everywhere at the Social Street School intersection. One officer had a rifle pointed over the hood of his police cruiser aimed at the big brick building full of fancy condos. I proceeded on my walk in the opposite direction picking up the occasional pieces of trash. Cars were all being rerouted because the local and state police had blocked off Social Street and East School Street. When I crossed the Walgreen's parking lot the Firemen and Emergency responders were all waiting. "Wow what's happening?" I asked.
"We can't say, Ma'm.
