Morning Musings

Listening to classical music on WCRB is soothing my nerves. No words please, just strings and horns. I woke early while it was still dark. Yesterday we visited the cows at the dairy farm and walked Romeo along the road and then at the pond. There's a difference between social distancing chatting from porch to porch, and social isolation, never coming out for months. Luckily having a dog keeps me outside a few times a day walking and breathing fresh air most days. I wish everyone could have a dog if they wanted one but only if they could give the dog what he needs, love, walks nutritious food and regular medical care.

Perhaps we should invent a new kind of dinner party. The 6 foot picnic. If everyone wears a crazy hat that measures out six feet we can make it the new fashion statement.

We keep making hard boiled eggs, living like a couple of bachelors. Yesterday I made German potato salad I ran out of vinegar so I used balsamic vinegar diluted with chianti. It came out great. I'm about to bake granola.
