Rescue Me

Tonight I turned onto Privilege Street to walk Romeo before my Dr. appt and on the way back I saw pots and pans and a gigantic restaurant quality stainless steel ladle and three muffin tins on the wall. It must've been yard sale leftovers. I took the ladle and then turned around and took the wok and glass lid and cast iron frying pan. It was heavy to carry while walking Romeo. I just scrubbed and seasoned the pan by  greasing it with Crisco and baking it in the oven for an hour at 300 degrees. It's a number 5. My very first cast iron frying pan was a number 5. I bought it at Brimfield Flea market when I was 13 years old ready to live on my own and I use it daily. Now we have two. Tonight I cooked broccoli and sesame noodle in broth for dinner in the rescued wok! It was fast and good. Tomorrow I will make eggs in the new number 5 pan.
