She noticed black and pink spots on the head of cauliflower. She loved cauliflower but only bought the defective ones when they came on sale. This one stayed in the back of her fridge for two weeks. "How about now," she thought taking out the big wooden cutting board and long knife. She trimmed the pink and black spots off the head and the coarse leaves at the base. Then she cut it in half. "Left brain, right brain," she said aloud. And chopped away at the albino trees collecting them in a plastic tub. Tonight's supper.
