When I was in high school in the 1970's, I often chose to eat my homemade yogurt for breakfast. My mother would scream at me, you can't eat yogurt for breakfast!
I knew that somewhere in the world people ate yogurt for breakfast like in India and Scandinavian countries. After I left home my mother always ate yogurt for breakfast.
