“Bija” is sanskrit for “seed,” and she thinks of children as seeds that can be nourished. In yoga and in life, she said, “you’re looking for opportunities to plant new seeds – we’re planting seeds all the time. Some of them sprout weeds, but other ones sprout flowers. So, you’re hoping to cultivate those ones that are going to bring joy and peace.”
