I ran into the lady I know from walking on her street in Blackstone. She was standing on a ladder cleaning windows with a red rag and blue squirting liquid. She came down and walked over to me and Lily.
"Did you know my Scottie dog, Champlain, died?" No, I'm sorry.
"He was really my husband's dog but my husband died eleven years ago. Now I'm really alone," she said.
Do you know the Everett's, I said pointing, they're nice people, and the Beauregard's they are lovely. And Frannie. "When you see their lights on you know they are nearby," I said. "That's true, That's exactly what I do," she said.
"My son and daughter in law live in Cumberland and they call me every morning and I work 4 hours a day at the CVS in Bellingham. I will walk this way more often and Lily and I will check on you, I said.
Would you?
Sure, I said.
