Adopting Stray Furniture from the Trash, Again!

On my run with Lily tonight I saw 6 Windsor chairs in great condition and a gorgeous wooden bench. I rang the bell and asked if they were throwing them out. YES, they said. My friend Carl lives 3 houses away and has a big truck. I rang hi bell and he offered to drive the furniture to my house, a mile and a half away. Thank you so much, I said. I was still on my walk when he passed me coming home. We have done this before when I found an amazing art deco bed being thrown out on his street. His brother lives opposite me. Small world. I have known them for years. They are a lovely family. "Bring your three kids over to make art on February vacation," I said.
