Thunder and Lightning

Last night the sky got dark from impending storm. I was practicing my songs on my sax, and Romeo stayed close to me. The rain poured and the clouds thundered and the the sky flashed with lightning, exaggerated just like in a horror movie. My husband was out on the front porch watching. Our street had become a RIVER. In 23 years of living in this house, I'd never seen the water get to this volume and we're on top of a hill. People continued to drive their cars full speed through the 5 inches of gushing rapids, making gigantic splash waves. I stood on the sidewalk whooping, getting drenched.
