Let’s not minimize the importance of this moment. We’re actually putting the civil war in the rearview mirror. The cause of white supremacy is dying. White folks are releasing themselves from their hangups over the social change that started in the 50s and 60s and has resulted in massive demographic change and changes in laws and social norms. This means more white voters are available for Dems than at any time since 1964, and our opportunity for massive reforms of the social contract is widening so long as we Dems stick together, don’t make the perfect the enemy of the good, and just vote en masse for Biden and all down ballot Dems. We have a shot at an historic win that could shape the entire century.
