The Moat

Thinking about a moat protected by an army of palace guards. How do we get a message across to the King and Queen? As a child anytime I read a book or talked about a lesson in school or was inspired by a favorite teacher my parents were jealous, suspect, defensive and enraged. No matter what the topic was I could never get past their guards, their defensive and threatened egos. I have discovered this is a problem with humans. I cherish the folks who are receptive and open to thinking and learning. Their moats have little boats, bridges, rope swings, and ladders for easy crossing. They restore my faith in humanity.

I am puzzled by folks who are not eager to improve their health, look at their issues, develop their depth and cultivate their soul dreams. I have been told that I have grandiose expectations of people. Maybe so but I can't believe others do not want to explore these things. Do they really want to die running away from them, running from all of the juicy questions and vitality in life?
