When I learned that San Francisco sourdough starter is kept in vaults in case there's an earthquake. I decided I must have two jars running in my east coast fridge just in case I accidentally drop one.
Sourdough is my friend and it is alive unlike some of my other friends who are dead.
I use the starter for bread, pancakes, muffins, pizza crust, and anything else I can think of. It's the dough equivalent of adding wine to a soup. You're adding age!
