The Screaming Roof Vent

The screaming roof vent on the apartment house next door has been a constant high pitched siren for weeks. As a writer who works at home this is grating on my nerves. I swear I hear it even when I am walking many blocks away, I said to my husband. It's ingrained now. The landlord has been notified and he will climb up and fix in the spring. Until then I have a new friend.
