Community Love

I went to bed at 6PM exhausted. I'm reading BLIND MAN'S BLUFF by James Tate Hill and loving it. I woke at 4:22AM ready for the day. I prefer to sleep early and have the predawn hours. I didn't realize it was Thursday until I saw my neighbor's trash bins out on the curb. So I assembled my recyclables and gently bumped my bins down the steep front stairs.

Yesterday I arrived at the pool without my bathing suit. Normally I wear it. My friend Teddi was just leaving so she gave me her suit to wear. Since she wore hers to the pool I gave her my dress + bra to wear home. It was cute. Then Deena my neighbor was in the pool and she gave me a lift home. All was saved by a community effort.

Next week I'm making four key lime pies for Dawn. We already have the 36 limes and graham cracker crusts all set. Her restaurant kitchen is around the corner at the assisted living+ elderly high rise. We'll have the residents grating limes and stirring the sweetened condensed milk with the Greek yogurt. I can't wait.
