Old Leash, New Lesson

I tied an old ripped up leash into a knot and gave it to ROMEO as a new toy yesterday. Bill wondered if this would make Romeo chew his regular leash. I said nah, he'll know the difference. We put his current heavy duty red leash (they don't make 'em like this anymore, circa 1990) on to drive me to the pool, and ROMEO chewed it in half  in 3 minutes!  I'm trying to look forward and not backwards. We can get a new leash. All of the leashes my dogs have used were found or from previous dogs. Part of the issue was ROMEO was in a froth playing with his NEW TENNIS BALL I found in the street. Which is a live animal in his mind. Ah well, live and keep learning!
