Last night I shoveled after my big 4.5 mile walk with Lily. When I went to bed my shoulders ached so much I had to take 2 ibuprophen and antihistamine to make me sleep. Amen to sleep. Swimming to Cuba is intense. I woke to more snow and shoveled everything and made my kooky waffles. Bill took them to school. There;s wholesome vitamins and good nutrition in every bite and they're portable for the impatient types (like me). They can be warmed in the toaster or oven or microwave.
When it snows I let Lily play in the big yard while I shovel paths for her. I shoveled my sidewalk wearing thick white sweat socks with purple leopard skin rubber flip-flops. We called them thongs as kids. I was embarrassed when a young woman walked by on the way to school. I said excuse my footwear. She said Oh, that's fine!
