“”Kithes was born to a family of working-class Greek immigrants who chose to settle in the City after emigrating from Greece in pursuit of the American dream. He studied engineering at Boston University and Brown University, a privilege afforded to him by the hard work of his parents and grandparents, and the opportunities he fought to maintain for students in the Woonsocket Public Schools.

“His lifelong concern for the well-being of the people of Woonsocket has led to Kithes becoming a political and community organizer. Over the last few years, he’s worked on the Downtown Woonsocket Collaborative, the Holiday Stroll Committee, and the Autumnfest Steering Committee, helping with efforts to revitalize the city, unify the community, and promote local businesses.

“Kithes is also the Chair and lead organizer of Rhode Islanders for Reform, a non-partisan group of concerned citizens, fighting for legislative rules reform and good government practices within the legislative bodies throughout the state.
