I also believe that we need to do better. Not only do we need to change the culture, we need to think about whether this trial is an opportunity to look at whether the justice system provides the kind of protections women need to feel safe to come forward.

We must all work together to create a safe space where survivors can feel comfortable coming forward and have access to the support services they need.
