Names & Faces

Nancy whose name is Carol really looks like a Nancy. So when I pass by her house when walking my dog I say to myself, this is where the lady who looks like a Nancy lives. But her name is Carol.

Years ago we met a family with two young daughters. Hannah was the oldest and her younger sister was named Naomi. Naomi had an H shaped head and Hannah had the N shaped face. It should've been the other way around. Hannah looked like a Naomi and Naomi looked like a Hannah. For this reason it was very hard to keep track of their names. I wanted to explain this to their parents but never did.
