Dream

Last night we were out at the local pub and I said to my husband "May Sarton just walked in." An elderly woman with short white curls, a long face with a handsome jawline, came in. "I do this all the time," I said. "Did you know I regularly swim with Georgio De Chirico? Years ago I saw Queen Elizabeth pulling out of the Shell Station in a black Volvo, in Woonsocket."

Dream:

I was in Maine visiting May Sarton in her house. We were sitting out on a large screened-in porch overlooking a salt water brook in the woods. "Show me that you can swim four laps, so I can relax," she shouted below to a young man swimming on her property. There were tables set up outside with piles of books underneath, protected in case it rained. People could come and swim or hang out and read.
