I love my appetite. Beneath every good cook is an appetite and the love of feeding and nourishing the people she loves. I love to share my homemade soup and bread at my round table. In my fantasy I would make a table from one end of the city to the to the other or the largest round table so we could all bread bread together.
It saddens me that much of shared eating is lost in contemporary society.
It saddens me that women are taught to loathe despise and fear their appetites.
It saddens me that women given mixed messages are often the ones in charge of shopping cooking and feeding. No wonder why they hate to cook.
