RIP Mary Calhoun

She was an angel. Kind, centered smart. She loved black coffee and reading the newspaper all morning. She was a night nurse supervisor. She had a system for everything. She could sew, and made all 6 kids clothes, she baked 12 pies every thanksgiving. She was gorgeous, efficient calm and temperamentally and intellectually just like Bill.

She was humble and the most RECEPTIVE person I've ever met.

We had dinner with her every weekend we could in her kitchen. She let me cook and bake for her. She was polite observant smart.

She ran away from home to go to nursing school in Boston where she met Bill Calhoun senior, leaving her Barre Vermont siblings. She had 7 pregnancies and 6 children 3 boys and 3 girls, triple bunk beds in a weensy house.

The good witch!
