First day with the new head

I bonked my head on the door frame reaching for my swim bag. Two weeks ago I stubbed my toe. Last week I got a splinter in the bottom of my foot. At this rate I will be incapacitated by the end of the week. (I hope not).

When my energy shifts from receive to transmit I can't find my keys, I smack into things. Our joke is "First day with the new head". That's what it feels like after 4 months of receive-mode. Jeckyl meets Hyde or Hyde meets Jeckyl.

The thrift store popcorn machine we tried to rescue got scooped by a local businessman. So sad. I tried to get the YMCA childcare folks over there fast. Hopefully they can get a grant to get one just like our library is doing. I guess it wasn't meant to be. I kick myself for not buying it so I could give it to them but 50 bucks is still a lot of BROCCOLI for me. (I measure $ in broccoli since I LOVE IT SO MUCH.)

ROMEO tugged me onto Roland Street. I found a cute oak painted light blue school desk and chair for a 3 year old being thrown out.  Perhaps my neighbors who have a 2 year old kid would like it. I told them exactly where to find it.

We went to a local wake last night. Our friend's dad died unexpectedly on May 30. His dad was originally from the Philippines and his mom is a French Canadian blonde. What a beautiful family. The youngest is age 31 and is our YMCA lifeguard. I felt teary on behalf of the family. We could feel the love between them.
