We went to see our pal Peter Sis at the Eric Carle Museum. We stopped at Charlton rest area to get coffee on the way home. A woman with gray hair and a shock of white. Beautiful! I had to wait until she turned around again to show Bill and compliment her. She smiled and said she bleaches the shock of white. Then she asked how to get to Providence and Bill told her. As we were back in the car sipping highway coffee, a man pulls up gets out of his car lays down a square beige blanket beside the back rear tire. Checking the tire, I thought. He takes off his shoes, examines his compass, positions himself facing east, kneels prostrating on his prayer rug behind his SUV at sunset. Bill said he is Muslem, praying. Then the man gets back up puts on his shoes, shakes the rug and drives off. We came home and made a spinach and mushroom salad.
