Chick Peas and Pistou

 We bought 24 pounds of dried chick peas to store in our freezer after there was a shortage. Anyway I fast soaked and then cooked a pound of chick peas today. I added salsa and my cilantro basil pesto (french pistou) which is pesto without nuts or cheese. It's fantastic. Pistou is good on toast with an egg or just as is.
