She wanted a Mozart
I loved to sit at the piano and just play around when I was a kid. My mother couldn't stand any sound at all so she insisted I take lessons. On the first day my piano teacher Mrs. Marcus loved my form and said I was extremely coordinated the way I held my fingers. She would give me written homework to do. It bored me. I wanted to play popular music I knew from school musicals. My mother would close all of the living room and dining room doors, and hide in the kitchen because she couldn't stand to hear me practicing. She told me Ms Marcus' professional student played five hours a day. She wanted a Mozart but she was Salieri.
