Waiting for the Monsters

I've always wondered why my siblings didn't stand up to my parents multifaceted abuse. My guess is they feared being abandoned. Since I felt like an orphan from day one I've had a certain freedom. I had no choice but to run for my life. I was planning my escape at age 12. My siblings are are puzzled that I have never returned but I am even more puzzled as to why they would wait around for love from the monsters who were responsible for us.
