Bannocks

Yesterday I bought 50 pounds of steel cut oats from JAR Baker's Supply in Lincoln, RI. My butcher laughed so hard when I told him this. Today I opened the bag and the aroma was fresh delicious and oaty. So I think I'll make Marion Cunningham's bannocks. I've already added 2 cups of oats to my sourdough semolina bread batter. I can't resist the lovely texture and taste.
