Hollywood arrived on Main Street Monday as preparations began for filming Purge 3 at 118 Main St. A crew of Local 481 IATSE set dressers began transforming the storefront into a convenience store that will be used as a working set for the movie's filming on Main Street later this week. From left are Alan Hague of Providence and Brian McKenzie of North Providence pushing their gear in a dolly bin. Scott Mundy, a member of Local 25 of the Teamsters, operates the truck lift behind them.
WOONSOCKET – If you’re traveling by motor vehicle through the downtown area tomorrow, be on the lookout for Hollywood production crews – and possible traffic delays.
As the makers of the thriller “Purge 3” set up shop in Kwik-Mart, a Main Street convenience store, traffic could be rerouted or delayed between High and Arnold streets, from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday.
The street will be closed to through traffic on Thursday and Friday from 4 p.m. to 6 a.m., and more interruptions are expected next week.
