Sometimes I borrow armloads of books from the library and return them unread. It has to be okay not to read in order to choose to read.
My parents divorced when I was born. When I was 11, I saved up and sent away for The Boys and Girls book about divorce.
Suicide and mental illness are still taboo in our society. My library is poetry, mental illness books, and cookbooks.
