Food Foibles

My cousin Jack picks out each tiny piece of chopped celery from my tomato sauce. The bay leaf, I get it but each piece of celery? I said.
The French don't let their food touch, it's a thing, he said. We have portions not servings, He said. If you see a French Canadian family, you will see this, he said, and smiled his big French smile.
Oh so that's why they have little dental cups in portions at the Boef Barn? I asked.
