Making Supper for a Friend
Last night I made supper for our band leader Gerry. Since Gerry is the quintessential guest who also loves food, I found myself enjoying the preparations rather than worrying. I made Chinese-style kale and added the defrosted grilled chicken sliced thinly, and I made a pot of rice and together it was a perfect meal. We had apples and almonds and cranberries and herb tea for dessert.
