Morning Musings

Morning is sacred. Waking at 4 before the neighborhood is up, before daylight is a special time. Mostly I like to read the newspapers and listen Radio Classique broadcasting out of France. They've been up for five hours ahead of us. As I said to Davis on the sidewalk yesterday, There's no reason for war. We can read any newspaper in the world to get a larger perspective. He agreed. They cut off my food stamps, he said, I work at Taco Bell and they say I make too much money now. Don't vote Republican, I said. Isn't it a shame when people you admire turn out to vote R? It's tragic. I just refuse to go down that road. Yankees or Red Sox Boston or NY, yadda yadda. What we need is affordable dental care and a source of healthy food for my third world neighborhood.
I'd be willing to teach bread baking and soup making. How to feed the multitudes with a bag of beans and celery.

I have always been laughable but now I am proud of it.

The kids start walking to school at 7 AM. So getting up at 4 is not insane. A mother needs her time ahead of making pancakes for the family.

I am thinking of moving my sewing machine into Command Central so I mend things while reading and writing.

The only guys I know who can survive running are 90 pounds. If you weigh any more you'll injure yourself whereas you can be 300 pounds and swim for hours.
